I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist trained in the Rogerian Person Centered (Humanistic) approach and licensed in California, Colorado and New Mexico. I received my Master’s of Arts in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s College.
I specialize in helping individuals heal from trauma and have worked with clients between the ages 5 to 85 years old. I also provide support for individuals struggling with anxiety, addiction, codependency, relationship concerns, trauma as well as other general concerns.
I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Brainspotting - two therapies that help individuals heal from past experiences of trauma. Approaches that I use for therapy include EMDR, Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as well as other talk therapy methods.
To support couples, I use Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy for Couples and Relational Life Therapy (RLT) approaches.
I also have a Master’s of Arts in TESOL and have taught English to college students, new immigrants and refugees in the United States and domestic and international university students abroad in South Korea.
I am conversationally fluent in Korean.
